FAQ
Getting started
What does OHPI stand for?
On Hand Personal Inventory. Say it like the name: Opie.
When can I get it?
The beta is about to start. Join the waitlist and check the beta box to be one of the first in.
How much does it cost?
OHPI is free to download.
Who can use it?
Adults 18 and older in the United States, for now.
Which iPhones does it work on?
Any iPhone running iOS 27 or later. Voice capture uses the Action Button on iPhones that have one, and Back Tap on the rest.
Is it on Android or desktop?
OHPI is made for iPhone first. A desktop app is planned and will sync with your account.
Do I have to set anything up?
No. Pick one list to start. OHPI turns on others as you use it.
How do I join the beta?
Check "I want early access" when you join the waitlist. We'll send TestFlight invites in small groups.
Using OHPI
What if it puts something in the wrong place?
Tap Move or Undo. OHPI remembers the fix and gets it right next time.
Can I add things by hand?
Yes. Every list can be added to and edited by hand.
Where's the calendar?
Open Calendar from the menu. It shows everything with a date: to-dos, bills, appointments, events and more. Pinch to switch between month, week and day.
Can it remind me?
Yes. Turn on Remind me when you add something with a date, or just say "remind me". Notifications are off until you ask for one.
How do I set up voice capture?
Say "Add to OHPI" to Siri. You can also set up the Action Button or Back Tap in Settings → Voice.
How do I add widgets?
Hold your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and find OHPI. Every list has a widget, and Calendar has month, week and day sizes.
The AI
Which AI does OHPI use?
Claude, an AI made by Anthropic. It files what you add and answers your questions.
Is my data used to train AI?
No. OHPI doesn't train any AI on your data, and Anthropic doesn't train on what OHPI sends.
What does the AI see?
What you add or ask, and the parts of your everyday lists it needs to answer. Never your passwords, cards, IDs, codes or medications, and never your name or email. For locked things it sees only a label, like "Netflix."
Can I use OHPI without the AI?
Yes. OHPI asks before anything goes to the AI. Say no, or turn it off anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security, and you add and edit your lists by hand.
Privacy and security
Can OHPI read my passwords?
No. Passwords, cards, IDs, codes and medications are locked on your iPhone and open with Face ID. We never hold the key.
I got a new phone. How do I open my locked lists?
If you use iCloud Keychain, just open them with Face ID. If not, approve the new phone from your other iPhone with a 6-digit code, or use your recovery key.
I lost my recovery key and my phone. Can you help?
We can't open your locked lists, because we never hold the key. Your everyday lists will still be there when you log in, and you can start over with an empty Vault.
Your account
Can I get a copy of my lists?
Yes. Settings → Your data → Export saves your everyday lists. Locked things are left out on purpose.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Everything is deleted with it, locked or not.
How do I leave the waitlist?
Use the unsubscribe link in any email from us.
Still stuck?
Email [email protected]. A real person reads every message, and we reply within 2 business days.
Want a list we don't have?
Tell us what you'd keep in it. We read every request.
